I want to have a deep conversation with her, just her and me. Under the moonlight. When everyone is asleep dreaming, I want to be living mine.
She wants to have an intimate conversation with her brother. Nothing held back. When everyone is trying to find a date, she wants to reunite with her first love.
He wants to tell his mother that he’s being misunderstood. He wants to show her the truth. When everyone is trying to find a woman, with their mothers, he wants to find his mother, with his woman.
She wants to have a son with him, or a daughter. But she cannot. When everyone is trying to name their child, all she wants is one.
I wonder how it would be if we embraced everything. That phone call we can’t make. That conversation we can’t have. Those test tubes we don’t trust.
I wonder if what we want is really out of reach.
I walk to her, and say “Hi.”
